Pantry Organization ft. @cricut #ad

Just a few more weeks until we’re in our house. In the meantime, my mom and I have been doing a few projects around her house while we’re enjoying our stay.

We recently reorganized her pantry. The before is a little embarrassing, but we’ve all been there right? Lol We grabbed some containers and baskets of various sizes and got to work.

No organization project is complete without adding labels. So, I pulled out the @cricut Explore® 3 and got to work. I absolutely love how easy it is to use. It’s perfect for everyday craft and DIY projects both big or small.

It’s so hard to believe that in just two days my big girl is headed to 1st grade. She’s headed to a new school this year, which means new friends, new teachers, and new opportunities to learn and grow.

We’re both a little nervous, but we’re so excited to see her excel again this year. To kick things off, we headed over to @walmart to check everything off her school supply list. She had so much fun picking out her supplies and it definitely helped ease those first day jitters.

Walmart is always our first choice for back-to-school supplies because of their everyday low prices. They have every you need from notebooks and pencils to backpacks and lunchboxes. You can even stock up on lunch necessities while you’re there.

If you’re still in need of school supplies, be sure to head over to Walmart to get the Back-to-School essentials you need at the prices you want. It’s so easy to shop this year with options of in-store, pickup or delivery.

First day of school 🖍

Jaxon is always on the move so getting a decent picture of him these days are hard. So this will have to do lol

Have first day of school to all those starting school this week.

Jade has a few extra days of summer. She doesn’t start until Wednesday.

Family Adventure Day We had so much fun exploring

Family Adventure Day

We had so much fun exploring Jennings State Forest, which is about 10 miles south of Jacksonville. We made it halfway through the Pioneer Trail before the afternoon storm moved in so we didn’t get to experience the day of fun we had planned including locating the natural waterfall, canoeing, and horseback riding. This may have been our first time on the trail, but it definitely won’t be our last.

Step outside the box. Working from home, my day-

Step outside the box.

Working from home, my day-to-day routine can be pretty mundane. Every now and then, I like to switch things and up. This week, I decided to have a backyard picnic for lunch.

I headed over to @chickensaladchick and they make planning a spontaneous picnic so easy. Their Quick Chicks are perfect for picnics. Just pair it with some fruit and their delicious Strawberry Lemonade. The Barbie-Q and Olivia’s Old South chicken salads are my favorite.

Growing up, our summer was filled with road trips

Growing up, our summer was filled with road trips and I’ve been intentional about continuing those adventures now that I have kids. #ad

Traveling with kids doesn't come easy.

Our @Hyundaiusa Palisade helps make the drive more doable and comfortable though. Some of our favorite features are Quiet Mode for the Rear Seats to mute the speakers, the many USB charger ports for keep all our devices charged, and the spacious trunk to house all of our necessities.

Below are four tips for a seamless summer road trip with kids.

1️⃣Wear comfortable clothes especially if you're spending a long time in the car.

2️⃣Protect your littles in the back seat from sun glare and keep the vehicle cool with sun shades.

3️⃣Add an organization bin between the Captain chairs so that their items are easily accessible.

4️⃣Use the spacious trunk as a changing station to keep the baby comfortable and things easy for you.

Saturday well spent After being quarantined in t

Saturday well spent

After being quarantined in the house since last week, we were excited to get out a bit and explore today since we tested negative.

We went on our first hike. It definitely won’t be our last since the summer storm cut things short for us. We didn’t get to see the natural waterfall, canoe or go horseback riding.

We ended up driving back into town, grabbing some @alspizza, and having a mini picnic in the park.

The kids had a blast running around and getting all that built up energy out.

It’s safe to say that mama is tired, but so many memories were made today.

On the bright side, it’s Friday and we’re finally able to get out of quarantine. Hopefully we can have a bit of fun this weekend.
