Statement of faith
Welcome to The Trapp Haus. I am honored to walk alongside you as we navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood, grounded in our faith and calling in Christ. My faith in Jesus is the cornerstone of my life and shapes my role as a mother, wife, and woman of God. This Statement of Faith reflects the biblical truths I hold dear, and it is my hope that it encourages and strengthens you on your journey.
I Believe in the Trinity: One God in Three Persons
I believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, co-equal, and co-eternal, revealing the fullness of God’s love, wisdom, and authority.
- “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” — Deuteronomy 6:4
- “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14
I Believe in Jesus Christ: My Savior and Lord
I believe that Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, came to earth to redeem us. He lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, rose on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of the Father. Through Jesus, I have received forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life.
- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
- “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6
I Believe in the Holy Spirit: My Comforter and Guide
I believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, lives within every believer. He empowers, convicts, and guides me in truth, equipping me to live a life that glorifies God and reflects His love to the world.
- “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” — John 14:26
- “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” — Romans 5:5
I Believe in the Bible: God’s Inspired and Inerrant Word
I believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the ultimate authority for every area of life. It provides wisdom, instruction, correction, and encouragement, equipping me to live out my purpose as a mother and woman of faith.
- “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
- “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” — Psalm 119:105
I Believe in Salvation: By Grace Through Faith
I believe that salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not by my works but through the sacrifice of Christ that I am saved, adopted into God’s family, and promised eternal life.
- “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8-9
- “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Romans 5:1
I Believe in the Church: The Body of Christ
I believe in the universal church, the body of believers worldwide, united in Christ. I am called to gather, encourage, serve, and grow alongside others in faith, using the gifts God has given me to build up and strengthen His people.
- “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27
- “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.” — Hebrews 10:24-25
I Believe in Living a Life of Purpose and Faith
I believe that I am created for a unique purpose and am called to live a life that reflects Christ’s love in my home, workplace, and community. As a Christian mom, I strive to live in a way that honors God and inspires others to seek Him.
- “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10
- “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
May this Statement of Faith encourage you to embrace the life God has called you to with grace, strength, and purpose. Together, we journey toward a deeper faith, a more purposeful life, and a community grounded in His truth and love.
