And just like that, it’s December 1st. Christmastime is my favorite time of year. People are nicer. Seasonal drinks are released. Holiday music is playing everywhere you go. Absolutely everything sparkles.

Typically, I start preparing for Christmas right after Halloween. I plan out my holiday decor, schedule our yearly photo shoot for Christmas cards, make a list of all the things I plan to do with the family, and start shopping. This year, I thought it would be fun to bring you all along with us while we celebrate the most magical time of year. So, I’ve decided to do Blogmas.

What is blogmas?

Simply put, blogmas is where you blog every day from the first of December up until Christmas. It’s very similar to an Advent calendar. If you’re a fan of Vlogs, it’s the written form of Vlogmas, which is extremely popular on YouTube. It is a fun way to create and share Christmas content daily with your community.

While the most popular form of Blogmas is daily posting, you don’t have to share Christmas topics every day if that’s not your cup of tea. You can set a posting schedule that works best for you whether that’s posting every other day or maybe sharing half Christmas content and half regular content. I’ve also seen some bloggers only post content on the 12 days leading up to Christmas. There’s no right or wrong way.
