Things I love — Looking put together. Things I hate — The effort it takes to try to look put together.
Feeling put together is an instant mood booster. Otherwise, I have a difficult time relaxing or I constantly feel unsettled. As a busy mom of two, I’m always looking for ways to look put together that don’t require too much effort. One of the ways I achieve this with minimal work is by keeping my hair in a protective style. From braids to wigs, I rock it all. I love the experience that visiting the hair salon brings, but sometimes I don’t have time to sit through an appointment, so a style I can easily achieve at home is key.
That’s why I’m so happy that I discovered LuvMe Hair and their headband wigs recently. If you’re on any form of social media, I’m sure you’ve seen all the rave about them. Headband wigs are in and are here to stay. They make the perfect protective style, are so versatile, and are super easy to install. LuvMe Hair describes their headband wigs as “beginner and lazy girl-friendly,” and that’s truly a perfect description. It took me less than five minutes to install it on my first try and it doesn’t get much easier than that.

How to install the headband wig
Like I mentioned above, it took me less than five minutes to install my headband wig. I prepped my hair by washing and braiding it down before styling my edges. My natural hair is on the thicker side, so I wanted to make sure the wig laid as flat as possible. I used one of the provided wig caps before installing the wig. It has four combs inside the cap and a velcro elastic band to help keep it secure. Using a paddle brush, I brushed out some of the curls to give it some volume and then added some mousse to help reduce the frizz. But, you could totally wear it as is.

Five quick & easy ways to style your headband wig
I absolutely love the versatility of this headband wig. I know I keep saying that, but it’s seriously just that good. I had so much fun trying out different styles and I’ve highlighted five of my favorites below.
1. Straight back
The headband wig is ready to rock straight out of the package. Once you install it, it will naturally fall in a straight-back style that is so cute.
2. Side part
Want to jazz your look up a bit? Flip a little more hair over to one side to instantly change things up.
3. Half up, half down
To dress things up, I did a half up/half down style. This style would be perfect for date night or Sunday brunch with your girls.
The ponytail style is my absolute favorite. It’s such a timeless style and is perfect for running errands.
5. High Bun
This headband wig was made for moms. When you want to look put together while chasing the kids around, just throw your hair up in a high bun to complete the look. That way it’s not in the way when mom duties call.
If you’ve hesitated on buying a headband wig, I hope I’ve inspired you to give it a try. They are so affordable, so versatile, and such a convenient way to look cute with minimal effort. Be sure to use my code ‘thetrapphaus’ to save 23% off any purchase with LuvMe Hair.
