My Testimony: Trusting God to Make All Things New
Discover hope and healing in my journey from exhaustion to peace through God’s restoration. Sharing my testimony as encouragement for moms seeking purpose and balance in faith and life.

As a busy mom navigating life’s ups and downs, I’ve had my share of moments where I’ve felt stretched thin, and my faith has wavered. One such moment stands out.
I remember the overwhelming sense of feeling torn between my own ambitions and the call to be fully present with my family. I was striving, trying to be everything to everyone, and felt so far from the peace I knew I could have in Christ.
I was tired and running on empty, but deep down, I knew God had more for me. What I didn’t realize then was that this season was the start of a journey toward true restoration.
Here’s My Testimony
Describe your life before experiencing restoration. What were some challenges or struggles you faced?
Before I experienced God’s restoration, I was constantly wrestling with feelings of inadequacy, striving for perfection in every area of my life—from motherhood to my career and faith. I was driven by a need to measure up, which left me drained, feeling less than, and overwhelmed. My joy and peace seemed so far out of reach.
What led you to seek God’s restoration in your life? Was there a specific moment or event that prompted this journey?
The turning point came when I was feeling particularly broken and exhausted. One evening, I found myself on my knees, asking God to help me reclaim my purpose, to remind me of who I am in Him, and to restore the peace I had lost. That moment was pivotal; I realized I couldn’t rely on my own strength to navigate these challenges. I needed God’s restoration more than anything.
How did you feel God working in your life throughout this process?
I began to feel God’s gentle nudge, encouraging me to let go of perfectionism and embrace His grace. As I prayed and spent more time in His Word, I sensed Him guiding me to slow down and live purposefully rather than perfectly. It was a journey of learning to rest in His love and trust in His timing.
What Bible verse or passages brought you encouragement and strength during this time?
One verse that carried me through was Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This verse reminded me that in relying on God, I could rise above exhaustion and find new strength.
What changes or breakthroughs have you experienced since then? How has God’s restoration impacted your life and faith?
Since embracing God’s restoration, I’ve experienced a peace that I hadn’t known before. I now live with a sense of purpose rooted in Him, not in my achievements. My relationships with my family and with God have deepened, and I feel a renewed passion to encourage other moms to experience the same.
What advice or words of encouragement would you give to other moms who may be struggling with similar challenges?
Sis, if you’re feeling weary, know that God’s strength is enough. Surrendering control isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of wisdom. Trust that God sees you, loves you, and wants to give you rest in the areas where you’re feeling worn down.
Is there anything you wish you had known or understood earlier in your faith journey?
I wish I had understood sooner that God’s love doesn’t depend on my performance. My worth isn’t in what I do but in who He says I am. If I could go back, I would tell myself to be more patient, to take each day one step at a time, and to keep my eyes fixed on His promises.
What does the word “restoration” mean to you now, after experiencing it firsthand?
Restoration now means embracing God’s wholeness and allowing Him to heal every part of my life that feels broken. It’s about Him making me new, piece by piece, as I lean on Him daily.
How has this experience changed your perspective on God’s faithfulness and grace?
This journey has shown me that God’s grace is constant, even when I’m not. His faithfulness is a safe place I can run to, and I know now that He is always ready to restore what feels lost or broken.
Are there any other resources or practices (such as prayer, Bible studies, or community) that helped you on your journey?
Yes! Prayer became my lifeline, and joining a community of like-minded Christian moms was invaluable. Being able to talk with women who understood my struggles helped me feel supported and strengthened my faith journey.
Final Thoughts
Looking back, I can see how God’s hand was with me every step of the way, bringing me out of a place of striving and into a life of purpose and peace. Restoration isn’t a one-time fix; it’s a journey of letting go and allowing God to work in our hearts day by day.
If you’re in a season of struggle, I encourage you to lean into His promises and trust that He’s able to restore what feels lost. Know that you’re not alone—God’s grace and faithfulness are more than enough to carry you through. Let Him turn your story into one of hope and renewal.
