Spring cleaning is a great way to get your home in shape as the warm weather nears. But, why stop there? Spring clean your life for a refresh and restart.
Spring is slowly becoming my favorite season. I don’t know about you, but welcoming Spring just feels like the perfect time to refresh and recharge. The weather is slowly warming up, or if you’re in Florida like me, it’s starting to feel like Summer, and you’re ready to spend more time outdoors. Spring also gives us an extra boost to clean every knick and cranny in the home that we neglected throughout the year.
The idea of giving your home a complete makeover once Spring hit is not new. But, have you ever considered cleaning more than just your living space with the change of season?
Spring, or bloom season as it’s commonly known, can also be a great opportunity to clear out some stuff in your life. Diving deep into personal areas of your life can give you the fresh start you need to help you create the life you want.
3 simple tips to spring clean your life
Let go of what no longer serves you
We spend so much of lives growing attachments to peoples, places, and things that we tend to overlook stuff that doesn’t really matter. Letting go of things that no longer serve you brings mental, emotional, spiritual and physical peace. There’s no satisfaction like the inner reward that comes with doing things that bring you happiness and being in the presence of people that uplift you.
Start small by getting rid of belongings that no longer spark joy. Drop that toxic friend that constantly brings you down. Detaching yourself from things that no longer serve you will help push you closer towards your purpose in life.

Reevaluate your goals
Remember those goals you set at the start of the year? Take a look at them to see where you stand. It’s okay if you haven’t worked towards reaching any just yet. This is the perfect time to reevaluate your goals and drop any that may no longer seem like a good fit.
Spring is a great time to dive in head first to work towards crossing things off your life. Warmer weather seems to give off the motivation needed to actually get stuff done.

Declutter your space
Start small by clearing off your desk or bathroom counter and then work your way up to cleaning out your closet. While decluttering your physical space is important, clearing out your mental space should be prioritized as well. Draining relationships, toxic work environments, poor habits — release them all. You’ll feel so much better once you clear out all the emotional and mental baggage you didn’t realize you were carrying.
