Pray this powerful prayer of protection for children, which is designed to break generational curses and deliver your children from evil influences.
As Christian mothers, we hold a unique and powerful position in the spiritual realm. Our prayers for our children are not just words spoken into the air but potent declarations that can shape their destinies and protect them from harm. Covering our children in prayer is perhaps one of the most crucial responsibilities we bear as mothers, wielding spiritual authority on their behalf.
This concept of maternal spiritual authority is beautifully illustrated in the Bible through the story of Hannah. In 1 Samuel 1:11 (NIV), we read Hannah’s heartfelt plea: “O Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.”
Hannah’s covenant with God not only resulted in the birth of Samuel but also set the course for his lifelong service to the Lord. As mothers, we have the same power to make bold declarations over our children’s lives. We can ask God for their protection and rebuke any evil spirits that seek to lead them astray.
One of the most effective ways to pray is by using God’s own words. As Scripture tells us, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Heb 4:12 NIV).
Below, I’ve included a powerful prayer of protection for children that you can pray over your kids daily. This prayer is rooted in Scripture and designed to break generational curses and deliver your children from evil influences. I’ve also listed key Bible verses I used in creating this prayer for your further study.
Let us embrace our role as spiritual warriors for our children, standing firm in faith and unleashing the power of God’s Word over their lives.
A Powerful Prayer of Protection for Our Children
Heavenly Father, I come before you as your faithful servant, grateful for this day you have made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Thank you for your mercy and grace, which are new every morning.
LORD, I stand before you with the knowledge that I have spiritual authority over my children. As their mother, I dedicate them to you. I commit myself to raising them in the knowledge of your Word, to be God-fearing men and women who follow your laws and statutes.
I declare every chain linking them to the enemy is broken in the name of Jesus.
I declare they shall live and not die. I bind up and rebuke the spirit of calamity and premature death.
I declare they shall be righteous men and women of God who stand firm on your word. They shall be called the trees of righteousness.
I declare they will be strong and magnificent, distinguished men and women for their integrity, justice, and right standing with You, O God.
Hallelujah!
I declare, my children shall be a planting of the Lord, that You may be glorified.
They will choose to follow you, even if it means forsaking mother, father, sister, brother, wife, and children to pick up their cross and follow you.
Most High God, my Elohiym, I relinquish my will over their lives and seek your divine and perfect will for them. You knew them before they were formed in my womb, so you know their purpose and destiny better than me.
I declare peace over their lives. I bind up and rebuke the spirit of anxiety and worry about the future.
I pray for purity that they may present their bodies as holy sacrifices unto you, LORD. Let them be so filled with the Holy Spirit that there is no room for any other spirit to occupy even the smallest area of their lives.
I bind up and rebuke a Jezebel spirit that would challenge the God in them. I bind up and rebuke a Delilah spirit that would seek to destroy their anointing.
In Jesus’ mighty Name, prosperity shall be over the house of my children and my children’s children. They shall be generous and gracious, forever a lender and never a borrower. They will have pity on the poor and give from that which they have stored up, and in doing so, the LORD will return to them what they have given 10 fold.
I declare my children will be obedient in all their ways, using your Word as a guide.
I bind up and rebuke a spirit of pride that would cause them to think themselves wiser than You, Father. Humility shall forever be in their hearts.
Lord, I reject and rebuke any generational curses or evil altars speaking against my children or on their behalf. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
Help me be the godly mother they need. Surround me and my children with godly influences, people who worship You in spirit and truth. Give me strength when I grow weary in well-doing.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my children. LORD, send your angels to keep charge over them, to lift them up so they will not strike their foot against a stone.
Guard their minds against peer pressure, addiction, perversion, and inappropriate influences. Let there be no stumbling blocks before them today.
Father, open their spiritual eyes so that they may know your ways. Give them a hunger for your Word and a desire to commune with you daily.
Make them wise like Solomon and give them a heart to serve You like David. Grant them the faith and courage of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
May they be set apart as your royal priesthood and be a peculiar people. Let the truth be on their tongues, and may their character lead others to Christ.
I declare they are the head and not the tail. Protect their minds from worldly indoctrination and keep them secure in You, the everlasting God, Alpha and Omega.
I submit this prayer to You, Yahuah, through Your Son, Yahusha Ha’Mashiach, the one I have built my house upon.
I bind up and rebuke the prince of the kingdom of Persia who would oppose me and attempt to intercept my prayers or the answers to my prayers.
I declare my words shall go forth and accomplish what I sent them to accomplish.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
